Ripped

I will start with appoligies, first I am sorry I have not written, the week has flown by as I have begun to prepare to go back to school.

Second I am sorry we ripped your bible this week.  When you were baptized Community Ref. gave you a children's bible with pretty pictures and key stories.  In an effort to teach you good habits we have done devotions every morning since then, so we have read it and the bible story book from your Uncle Aaron and Aunt Chelsea both cover to cover twice already.  I should have seen it coming, you have been grasping for toys and have great grip and this week you got a hold of one of the pages of your Bible. We ripped a page.  At first I was sad and felt guilty, this book we were given to commemorate such a special day in your life and I let you ruin it. I felt like I should have tucked it on a shelf and kept it safe.  But then I remembered the words of Pat Kelly (an old friend of your grandpa Dann).  Pat said you could judge a man by his Bible.  Never trust a man whose Bible was too nice on the outside because he has not read it, but if a man's Bible is worn the pages are folded, written on, torn and highlight there is a man who desires to know the Lord.  I would rather have you know your heavenly father then have a pretty momento from baptism, I suppose church gave it to us so we would use it, so I am sorry it's ripped but not sorry you are hearing the stories.
