No More Spots

The spots are finally gone.... mostly.  Adam is still healing up he got Hand Foot Mouth really bad and so his hands still have bruises and pealing skin but at least it is almost gone, and no new spots.  So life at our house if finally returning to normal.  Adam even made it back into work on Friday.

So with our house plagued this past week Jacqueline and I tried to stay busy walking every mall in west Michigan.  We made mother's day presents for the Grandma's, (sorry not giving any hints except  to say we both got messy and had a lot of fun.) And Jacqueline learned a new trick, eating with her silverware.  She has been picking up food for some time and has loved holding her spoon but this week the concept of how to use the spoon to get food to her mouth all by herself has finally hit, also true with the fork.  She loves to sit and stab food with her fork.  Thank goodness Grandma got her a little kid fork for Christmas.

Gotta love that face covered in homemade spaghettio's.

Long Week

Sunday Jacqueline was just not feeling well. By Sunday night she had a fever and was real sick so into the ER we went.  Unfortunately, she had herpangina (pretty sure she got it from a little girl at playgroup).  So several days of not wanting to eat or drink, but every day got a little better and I think she is over it.  Sadly Jacqueline is really good at sharing, so yesterday Adam came home with a fever.  Thankfully both of them are napping right now and I would post more but there isn't much to say it's been a long week and I should get back to disinfecting the house.

Glad to have my little girl feeling better and smiling again.

Smiley

You were so smiley today I just had to snap a few photos.
So glad the weather is getting a little warmer again.

I am not sure what this face is but it was really cute.

1 year stats

30.5 inches tall 90th%
19lbs 11 oz 40th%

The pictures below are playing in the "sand" today.  For Jacqueline's birthday and for Easter she got sand toys.  However, right now we have horrible weather for playing in the sand.  It was hailing outside today.  So I figured we would make a little sand.  I took out an old storage box and dump in some cornmeal.  It worked great and no worries about her trying to eat it.  Jacqueline had a lot of fun playing.  We could not build castles because I did not give her any water, I assumed if it stayed dry we could play again another day.

Jackie not only had fun playing in the sand, she even had fun helping me clean up.

Easter Photos

Kirsten and Jacqueline playing with bubbles.
Kirsten came over during spring break to play with Jacqueline so that I could work on cakes and cookies for Easter.   They read books, and played bubbles, and went to the park.

Playing with Chocolate Eggs.

Isaiah and his Easter Basket.

Jacqueline was not interested in searching for eggs but she did like to shake this pink egg.

12 months

I love this picture of you pointing at the 12 month sticker, such a smart little girl you are.

I can not believe you are a year old.  Yesterday you were my baby and now suddenly you are a toddler Constantly showing your independence.  I am not ready for you to be as grown up as you, but I must say that I am proud of you.    I love you.

Party

We went with everything pink and green for your party.

Although you have been being silly about naps you were a happy little girl for the night.  For some reason you are already trying to drop from 2 naps to 1, a transition that I am not ready for.

Wearing your new baseball cap from Aunt Kate.  (Tigers Opening Day is today, on your birthday, Grandma Jackie would have loved that.)

Beginning to dive into your cake. Again you seem to prefer a spoon to your fingers hen it comes to eating.

But you still got messy and had fun.

Literally hanging out with Grandma, (somehow you ended the night in your tutu.)

Saying goodbye to Aunt Sharon.

Overall it was a very good night.  It was nice to have Aunt Fran, Sharon & Jim, Great Grandpa Ed and my family all over for the night.  You are such a lucky little girl to come from such a wonderful family.

Tutu photos

Grandma decided you needed a tutu photo.  We have several outfits already picked out for when you get your photo taken with Lynette in a few weeks so I took these photos of you, just in case you are not willing to do that many changes of clothes.
Playing with the purple beads.

Attempting to eat my camera lens.

This one is my favorite.

Trying to get a photo of the cute little ruffle butt.

Kisses.

Not really liking the bow, sorry Grandma.

Swimming

We have swimming class at the YMCA every monday night.  Typically I am in the pool so there have been no pictures but Adam was home this week and so he did class with Jacqueline so that I could take some photos.  The first week Jacqueline had no fun, she did not want to play the games of attempt to swim but every week she gets a little better.  Hopefully when class is done it will be warm enough to start swimming at Grandma's or Aunt Kelly's.

Easter Bunny

We went to see the Easter Bunny at tiptoes yesterday.  Jacqueline did really good she was not afraid of the bunny, but it probably helped that Aunt Kelly was the one hiding in the bunny suit. But for as much as Jacqueline liked the bunny she really loved the tree house at tiptoes and had a lot of fun looking out the windows and filling the window boxes with legos.
