Getting Dressed

Lately Jacqueline has been on a 'I can do it myself' kick.  Especially when it comes to getting dressed. She is getting better for the most part hats, coats shoes (sometimes on the wrong feet) and sock she can do herself or at least mostly herself.  But shirts and pants are another story.  So this morning after I helped her get on a shirt she grabbed another shirt and stuck her legs through the neck and the bottom of the shirt and was quite proud of her self... Trying to convince her that the shirt from her pjs was not a skirt was not an easy task.  In the photo she is holding on to her shirt/skirt so that I don't attempt to take it off again in favor of a pair of pants.  So what can I say she ate breakfast wearing two shirts and no pants and was very proud of herself for getting dressed with out my help.  I did finally convince her to let me switch her clothes before we headed out for the day.

Fun with the Aunts

 

Sundays we tend to hangout at Grandma's house for a while and play.  Jacqueline you are so blessed to have such fun aunts to play with.  We are so grateful to have Kate and Kelly around. 

18 month photos

So yesterday was 18 months but I had to work and then had the ultrasound so pictures got to wait until today.  Which was fine I had a very happy but very busy girl to photograph, she wanted to run not sit for pictures.

In the end she really just wanted to put on her elmo costume.  But instead we threw on coats and headed downtown Holland for the carve. Sorry I did not take any pictures downtown, it was fun but just so cold.

Sorry everyone, no clue not even a guess as to boy or girl.  Just like Jackie this kid was playing games with the doctor and is just too good at hide and seek, but we at least get to try again in a month.

Happy Birthday Adam

Today is Adam's Birthday, his gift came in the mail several weeks ago (new shoes he picked out) so he has had them and worn them.  No gift to wrap.  Not very exciting.  So Jackie and I had some fun today making a very special birthday dinner for daddy.  She had a blast stirring and turning my kitchen into a really big mess. 

In the end we made a marble cake with peanut butter cream cheese icing and homemade chocolate ganache.  Smokey cheddar mashed potato casserole, BBQ ribs and green beans.  Hopefully daddy likes it all. 

I know Jacqueline approved of both the cake batter and the icing. Thankfully at the moment the fun of making everything has wore her out and she is sleeping now I just need to get everything cleaned back up before she wakes up and Adam comes home.
