So since I have not been posting lots of photos I thought I would add a few this morning.  Jackie was wired this morning, giggly happy and crazy.  We started with bubbles I love these two photos were you can see her take a deep breath and blow trying to make bubbles.

We were also quite happy just to fidget with the spray bottle this morning.  Taking the lid on and off over and over again.  I should mention that the we are adding to our vocabulary but not all our words are quite right.  For instance the word open is coming out "mm aah"  It's cute and I know what she wants when she says it so it works but I don't know how those sounds became the word open.  At first when she was saying it I thought she was trying to sing the Little Green Frog song, "mm AAH!”, went the little green frog one day.
"mm AAH!”, went the little green frog.
"mm AAH!”, went the little green frog one day,
And the little green frog went, “mm AH mm AH mm AH AH!”
All the other frogs went, “Vo do di o di o! (di = dee)
Vo do di o di o! Vo do di o di o!."
All the other frogs went, “Vo do di o!",
But the little green frog went, “mm AH mm AH mm AH AH!"

Other then that no new news.  We are still waiting for an exact closing date on our house but the inspection on the new house is Monday so at least that will be done soon, and we are still packing.  I think that the basement will be gone by the end of the weekend, thanks to lots of family helping move things into the pod.

Life is Crazy

So I know, the family has been sad I am not posting enough lately... What can I say but life is crazy.  We are packing up our house getting ready to move, and I think we found a new house so there has been offers and meeting with the banks, next week is inspections.  If all goes as planned at the moment we will be out of this house and have 3 or 4 weeks of staying with the parents before we can move into the new house. Both families have been wonderful with helping to pack and offering to let us move in, so now it's just taking care of all the details.  So if I am a little slow to post for the next month you will have to forgive me, when Jackie is awake I want to play and have fun so this isn't hard on her and when she is sleeping I've been packing and cleaning and resting too so that I can keep up with her.  But I will try to keep adding pictures of my cutie pie.

Water, Water Everywhere

Well West Michigan might be experiencing a drought but Jacqueline has found her fair share of water lately.  Since the splashpad was so fun on Thursday we were back on Friday with Aunt Kate, Grandma and Grandpa, and we all got wet.  Partway through playing a sudden downpour of Rain soaked Grandpa Grandma and I under the big umbrellas and Aunt Kate and Jackie got even wetter then before.  The rain made fun puddles to splash in when we got back home and since it has been dry Jacqueline has helped the lawn and flowers stay green by helping to water them all.

Splash Pad

Jacqueline you are so lucky to have such great Aunts, yesterday they took you to the splash pad in Jenison.  From the looks of things you all had a good time.  Thanks Aunt Kate and Kelly for all the little things you do and how often you come to play.

15 Month Photos

So Jacqueline was really not interested in posing for pictures.  Instead she just wanted to play with Baby Stella, but those pictures are cute too so here is some of both.

Today was also our 15 month apt.  Jackie is now 97% for height and almost 50% for weight.  21 pounds, 32.5 inches tall.  In addition to just seeing the doctor poor little girl got 3 shots today and was stuck playing inside because it was just too hot outside.   Hopefully it will cool off soon and we can get out tomorrow and have more fun.

Sorry these are a day late, yesterday was just crazy, but on a positive note I think that we sold the house.  The sale is pending so we will see if the inspection and appraisal and all else go right.

separation anxiety

So sometimes I write to you because I want to post cute pictures and sometimes I write because I have something I want you to know this one is a little of both.

For the last week Jacqueline has been having some separation anxiety issues. I know it's normally for kids her age, and it's only been at bedtime so it really has not been too bad.  In fact I thought it was getting better until her Daddy tried to put her to sleep tonight.  She had a fit.  Screaming and pointing to the door wanting me to come back, he walked her to the living room proving I was there and reminded her and me too that she was fine and he was putting her to bed. Eventually she calmed down and went to sleep with out me.  But it made me think.

We all in this world are experiencing some separation anxiety.  We all could work a little harder to be a little closer to our heavenly father.  Missing devotions doesn't cause me to have the fit that Jackie had when I didn't put her to bed... but maybe it should.  I know nothing can separate us from the love of God but I think we all could use to work harder at being a little closer to his love.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord

Jacqueline someday when you look back at this I want you to stop and first be grateful you have such a wonderful earthy father who is willing to put up with you tears and your screams because he loves you and wants you to know it.  And second I want you to remember you have a heavenly father who desires to be closer to you too.

(These darling photos are of Jackie in the sink at Grandma's.)
