Jack-o-lanterns

The family came over this Sunday after church for brunch and so that Kate could carve pumpkins with the girls.  (Kate is an expert pumpkin carver!)  Jacqueline originally wanted a mermaid but then changed her mind and wanted Frankinstein instead.  Jacqueline was not as into carving as I would have hoped, caving is cold and dirty so she wanted to play more then help but un the end the pumpkins were cute and we are now ready for Halloween.

 

Standing

 Today we were playing in the living room and I was holding Grace up by play table when Grace decided she didn't need my help anymore and she was Right!  She stood on her own and played for a very long time.  So long in fact that Jacqueline joined in playing music on the table and I was able to find my camera and snap some photos.  I just sort of sat in awe of how big my baby is already that she can stand all by herself.  She and Jacqueline are starting to play more and more together and that is really fun to watch, but it's still hard to see her grow up so quick.

Grace 8 months

Grace is growing up way too fast.  It seems unreal that she is 8 months old already.  She still only has 2 teeth but she loves to eat real food.  She wants to do whatever Jacqueline is doing, and play with anything Jacqueline has.  Grace loves being in the tub and being outside.  And I would write more but she can also be stubborn about taking naps and so right now I am hearing Grace walk up.

From too many years of working the school yearbooks I had an old point and shoot that I would loan to students, and since I don't work yearbook anymore I let Jacqueline have the camera.  Most the pictures were her fingers or the floor but here are a few great shots of hers.
