Grace 9 month stats

We don't Black Friday shop so I scheduled Grace's Drs apt for this morning.  On thanksgiving my mom was calling her "moose" and I will admit she is built more like a Meeuwsen than Jacqueline is but she is still only in the 50% for weight at 18 pounds, her height though is back on the chart, still above the 99 percentile curve but at least she fit on the chart she is now 30 and 1/4 inches, (that's more then an inch taller then Jacqueline was at this age!)
We had a wonderful thanksgiving, Grace was thrilled to eat off off peoples plates, some mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, jello, chocolate chex mix and pumpkin gooey cake were all foods I caught people feeding her and who knows what she got when I wasn't looking.  (I have yet to find a food Grace doesn't like, she will eat anything.)

Outside of the food Grace loved that she had an endless supply of people to hold her hands and walk.  (She is crawling and cruising along furniture these days.) Thanksgiving night we watched as the family started to deck the house for Christmas and Grace loved the tree and the lights.

So it was a wonderful day, and a lot of fun, I do miss seeing Adam's brother and his family, but I am glad they are going to make if home for Christmas I think the kiddos will have so much fun playing together.

Early Christmas???

Grandma told me that Papa had a surprise for Jacqueline come Sunday and I wonder what they bought her now. ( Last week it was a Tinkerbell jewelry box that played music and Tinkerbell twirls link a ballerina when you open it. ) It seems like Grandma and Papa are always very good at finding reasons to spoil Jacqueline and Grace.  I know they try to keep it in check, but at the same time they would give the girls anything to see them smile.  Anyway I thought this would be another small gift.... I was very wrong.

Papa says the car was a steal of a deal and they just had to get it.  Jacqueline and Grace both love it and I am sure it will see many miles. As for right now it is going to live in the basement for the winter so they can play with it in-spite of the snow.
Hopefully they will be good as sharing because Grace really likes the car too.

We also made peanut-butter balls and a big batch of peppermint hot chocolate mix.  So after playing with the car outside we all headed back in for a cup of Coco,  (Although, Jacqueline only likes her chocolate warm and not hot I love that she still blows on it like it is steaming. )

Grace 9 months

Hard to believe but Grace is 9 months old today.  (Her cousin Austin turns 3 today! Happy Birthday Austin.)

Grace is trying to talk off moving both walking and crawling, she has not quite master either but is close with both.  I think she is teething, the poor girl has had the two bottom teeth for a while but no top ones to help her chew.  She loves to be wherever Jacqueline is and play with whatever Jacqueline has.  (For the most part Jacqueline is good at sharing with Grace, and the two of them love to play together, but I do wonder how until Grace is moving and into all Jacqueline's toys) On other notes Grace loves to eat, real food holds more appeal to her then milk, I don't think she really has a favorite, she just loves variety.  In fact I have yet to find a food she won't eat.   Growing up so much so fast it's hard to keep up with all the changes.

Goodbye Paci

After Halloween we found a snow white dress on sale for $5 so I bought it and set aside thinking it could be for Christmas.  Jacqueline was with when I bought it and heard me discussing it with Kate so she knew I had it but she had been really good several days passed with out even asking about the dress.  Then this morning she brought me her pacis "I a big girl, I no need paci, I want Snow White dress instead."
Daddy has told her several times that Santa brings extra presents to kiddos who are willing to give up their pacis.  So I asked what we should do with paci,  she thought and then decided to cut them up, (have I mentioned she loves loves loves using scissors lately).  So she cut her two pacis and threw them in the trash and on went the dress.  There were some tears at naptime, but I am pretty sure she is sleeping now, paci free and still wearing her new dress.

Two random side notes:
1. So sorry Grace, Jacqueline deleted all my Halloween photos on accident, and I am think I  was the only one to take photos of you on Halloween, but you had fun and you were a beautiful princess and there are photos of you in the dress just not on Halloween.
2. If you are friends or family and trying to get a hold of me my phone number got messed up this week, if you need me call Adam he has my current number, version is hoping to get my old number fixed soon.
