My favorite part of this tradition might be the fact that we go with Austin and Ava, it's just so nice for all the kiddos to get a chance to play together.
Austin of course was interested in the farm equipment and the animals. He was the first to be brave and ride the horse, and go down the new big slide.
Jackie really liked the pumpkin train again this year, she was the only one of the kiddos to ride, not sure why. But for some reason she was the only one to skip the big slide so who knows why anyone one is brave one minute and timid the next.
I was a little worried at first that Jackie was going to skip riding the horse, she was just not into it at first but I knew she would be sad if she missed the opportunity. Finally right before we went home she got on Star and went for a ride. She was very serious the whole time but had a blast. Grace saw most of the farm from the comfort of the baby-bjorn. She just likes watching and taking it all in. But I think she had a lot of fun and some of the family snuck her pumpkin doughnut so I am sure that made her happy.
Toward the end of our time at the farm we took the hayride out to the pumpkin patch to look for pumpkins to carve. Jackie wanted a little one. It took a little time for Kate to find a little on for her but eventually the found one little enough for Jacqueline to be happy. Papa on the other hand was busy searching the field for the biggest pumpkin he could find to carve and put Grace inside.
Ava was far more impressed with Papa's gigantic pumpkin then with Jacqueline's little one. Papa's pumpkin was huge for Grace but she did look cute in it today.
Grace was ok with being in the pumpkin but really loved the tub getting cleaned up afterward. But who can blame her cold slimy pumpkin, nice warm tub, what would you smile more for.
