Post Farm and Pumpkin Grace

This past Saturday we went to Post family farm with the Roger's and the Ondarko's.  But this time Grandma and Papa came too.  The farm has so many fun attractions from peddle carts to doughnuts, the pumpkin patch to animals there is so much to do and to see, and soo many photo ops.
My favorite part of this tradition might be the fact that we go with Austin and Ava, it's just so nice for all the kiddos to get a chance to play together.
Austin of course was interested in the farm equipment and the animals.  He was the first to be brave and ride the horse, and go down the new big slide.
Jackie really liked the pumpkin train again this year, she was the only one of the kiddos to ride, not sure why.  But for some reason she was the only one to skip the big slide so who knows why anyone one is brave one minute and timid the next.
I was a little worried at first that Jackie was going to skip riding the horse, she was just not into it at first but I knew she would be sad if she missed the opportunity.  Finally right before we went home she got on Star and went for a ride.  She was very serious the whole time but had a blast.

Grace saw most of the farm from the comfort of the baby-bjorn.  She just likes watching and taking it all in.  But I think she had a lot of fun and some of the family snuck her pumpkin doughnut so I am sure that made her happy.
Toward the end of our time at the farm we took the hayride out to the pumpkin patch to look for pumpkins to carve.  Jackie wanted a little one.  It took a little time for Kate to find a little on for her but eventually the found one little enough for Jacqueline to be happy.  Papa on the other hand was busy searching the field for the biggest pumpkin he could find to carve and put Grace inside.
Ava was far more impressed with Papa's gigantic pumpkin then with Jacqueline's little one.  Papa's pumpkin was huge for Grace but she did look cute in it today.

Grace was ok with being in the pumpkin but really loved the tub getting cleaned up afterward.   But who can blame her cold slimy pumpkin, nice warm tub, what would you smile more for.

Ready for Halloween

Halloween is a big deal to the Faasse Family.  It's always been a day of family, candy and fun.  And somewhere in heaven Grandma Jackie is smiling because Jackie has been practicing "Trick or Treat," picking out halloween books to read and last week Kate and Kelly gave Jacqueline her costume.  Rapunzel of course, complete with the underskirt to make the dress poof and a long wig of wild blond hair.  (I am not sure how long the hair will make it on Halloween night sometimes Jackie likes it sometimes not.)
She dose really like that this dress matches Sofia.
SO I think we have worn this dress everyday this week, and we have been watching Tangled just so we can dance to all the songs while dressed like Rapunzel.  All I can say is this girl is ready for Halloween.

Grace 7 month

Grace now has 2 teeth and she loves playing with anything she can roll to.  Her favorite food is either pumpkin or apple, she loves both.

Tooth

This has been another busy week with both schools in full swing, and then last night after my long day of work, Grace just did not want to sleep.  Followed with a little bit of a fussy day for her were she struggled napping, finally at dinner I notice why.  Her first tooth is defiantly almost pushed through.  If I push on her gums I can feel the bottom front left tooth and from the look of it the right one will not be far behind.  Now it makes since why my smily girl was so off.   I made Adam grab the camera and get some photos although he was sure the tooth would not be visible in the pictures.  Still it is one of those moments I would have photographed when it was just Jacqueline so I wanted to be sure I got this photo for Grace too.  (So glad too that he listened and took the photos because they are just darling, you can tell Grace loves to smile big for her daddy.)

Binder Park Zoo

With the long weekend Adam decided we needed a little quality family time, so I talked it over with Jacqueline and explained that if she could handle a long car ride we could go see some animals.  We go to John Ball Zoo all the time but I had heard Binder was bigger and very different, (Jackie went with Oma, Raylee, Aaron and Chelsea last summer.)

Early saturday morning we drove to the Zoo, and it was well worth it.  Jacqueline and Grace both loved the open tram drive to the wild Africa exhibit, but the best part by far was the Giraffes.  Adam held Jackie while she feed them lettuces leaves,  Jackie is still talking about how their big tongue licked her hand.

We also played in the children's zoo, Jacqueline loved the rabbit holes that let you tunnel under the turtle and rabbit exhibit and pop out in the middle.  She was not so sure about the petting zoo, she just wanted to look and not touch.   Of course we did ride the carousal too. (She wanted to ride the Giraffe but some boys beat us to it so we settled for the big pink flamingo.)

It was fun to play all together for the day.  Both girls took turns in the stroller and in both mom and dad's arms.  We saw a lot of the animals, and both girls came home tired and took good naps.
