Planting

The landscaping at the new house needs some demolishing to fix it so we won't plant much this year but I did plant some apple trees for my birthday and Jackie wanted strawberries.  She planed them herself, we put in two bottles with hols to water them and the garden stake she got from a friend of mine form art school who was making them to sell at local greenhouses.  Hopefully she will have fun with her plant and maybe get a berry or two.

Dress up and hair cut

Dress up plays a huge part of our lives everyday.  We typically are going through two changes of regular clothes and two or three different dress up outfits everyday.  So funny since not that long ago she hated changing her clothes.

 Oftentimes Jacqueline thinks Grace needs to play too.  Normally she gets left out of dress up but yesterday while I was pulling cookies out of the oven, Jackie ran and got her antlers for Grace to wear.  She was a good sport when Jackie first put them on but quickly decided they were not so much fun to wear.

 Even the stuffed animals at our house get in on the fun.  Since Grace's owl hat no longer fits Grace, Jacqueline decided it looked good on Emma and then they could be same same wearing hats.

Today we went and got Jacqueline's hair cut for the first time! She was not excited but the back of her hair was getting kinda shaggy looking so I offered a trip to the round and round if she would be a good girl and get her hair cut.  She did great no whiny or crying! I was impressed.  So we got to ride the froggy on the carousal.  

Grace's first Laugh

So Grace has been super smily lately, which is so much fun to see her awake and playful.  Yesterday she was on the edge of laughing at Jacqueline, big goofy smiles but no sound but today she defiantly laughed.  I was trying to teach Jackie to make a horse noise, it didn't work, and I am not really sure who Grace was laughing at me or Jackie but she sure did think it was funny.  We have had a few rough sleepless nights this week so it was wonderful to have such a fun funny day even in the rain.

Grace 2 month photo

 2 months has gone by really fast.  It seems like Grace is growing up really quickly.  She is a pro at holding her head up already, so much so she actually sat in the bumbo for a little while tonight, which is perfect because she love to be able to see what Jackie is up to.  Grace is very smily these days but unlike her sister she don't want to smile for the camera just yet.  She is also beginning to babble instead of just squeak. 

Spring Fever

Ok so the little bit of spring was a tease and we are stuck back indoors and bored but Jackie always has an idea.  Today she wanted to play draw in the tub, thank goodness for tub crayons. Hopefully warm weather will be back soon.

2 month and 2 year stats

Grace had her 2 month doctors apt today.  Her numbers match Jackies 2 month apt. exactly, both girls are just long and lean.  Grace had her first big round of shots today, she was a trooper.  The doctor also looked a her belly button, she has an umbilical hernia but it is getting smaller and should go away on it's own.  Overall, She is doing great!

Jackie saw the doctor today too.  Thankfully no shots, she did get a princess sticker for being a big girl, and then needed to wear her elmo costume when we got home.

Party

I think the panoramic photo above taken by Uncle Bill, tells the true story of the party.  Busy, Crazy and Fun.  I think a good time was had by all.  I know the kiddos all liked the horses and Jackie loved all her gifts, the food was good and the decorations have almost all come down.  Now we just need to stain and assemble the swing set (her present from us,) and find a way to explain partys are done for a little while.  (This morning she said to me, "purdy birgday," I told her we were done with birthday parties and she said, "purdy hop hop," no Easter parties are done too, "purdy germany?"  (Since Adam went for work everything is Germany.))

How one year changes things.

Same Same

 We have been teaching Jacqueline how to play memory and find the cards that are Same same, but lately whenever one sister does something the other has to be same same too.

So last night when I wrapped up Grace to go to sleep last night Jackie wanted to be swaddled too.  I think she looks like a butterfly cocoon, kinda funny since she has loved wearing her butterfly wings lately.

And whatever we play during the day Grace has to play too.  So when Jackie and I were singing today, Grace needed a spoon as a microphone too.  (I don't think Grace wanted to play but she held onto the whisk for a while so Jackie was happy.)

Easter Photos

Seeing the bunny at tiptoes.  Jackie was not so sure about the bunny at first even though she knew it was aunt Kate but she warmed up the more we hung out, it probably helped that the bunny had candy to give away.

All the kiddos had fun hunting for eggs.  The silver eggs are always the special ones with money inside.  I think Jacqueline was most excited about the eggs with sour bunny candy inside.
