Once there we rented a house for the week tried to do as much as we could as a family. We visited the market, dried strawberries, fresh fish and beautiful flowers it was wonderful.
We spent one warm sunny day at the beach. The water was freezing, not that it stopped the girls from searching for shells. It was cool to see mountains at the beach and there was a neat playground there too. (Grace did not like the cold water but Jackie was happy to play.)
We also visited the aquarium and the zoo for the kiddos. The aquarium was really cool lots to see and interactive exhibits.
Grace saw most of Seattle from the comfort of the backpack carrier. It was great to have with because it kept her from running off in different directions all the time.
Adam and I spent and afternoon learning how to blow glass, and then we went to the Chihuly Glass Gardens, which was amazing, and even more impressive when you have tried to blow glass yourself and know how hard it really is. The gardens was right by the space needle too so that was fun to see also and that night we visited the Queen Ann neighborhood for ice-cream.
Jackie had a great third birthday celebrating with family. She got some new clothes and a new camera for her birthday. We also found two carousels (round and rounds) to ride on the trip too. That always makes both girls smile. It was a wonderful trip but am glad to be home.
