Catching up

I know it has been a while since I posted we went camping over the weekend and then I accidentally left my camera at Grandma and Grandpa's house and posting without pictures just seems silly so I waited.  Camping was a lot of fun.  Jacqueline did really well, she has her own little tent and the plan had been to put that on one of the beds in Oma and Opa's popup but she hated being zipped in and so instead her and her tent went in our tent along side me.  It was snug in our tent but everybody slept well.  We came home in time to go to church sunday morning and then to Grandma and Grandpa's house were Jacqueline had a ball dancing to the chipmunks music videos on demand cable and helping to work on Aunt Kate's new coffee table.

Today was members night at the zoo.  It was a lot of fun.  Sadly the new train at the zoo is still not open but it was a fun night anyway.

Sorry it is getting late so I am going to bed and not writing more about all of these fun activities but there are more pictures posted on shutterfly.

House for sale (Busy)

We put the house for sale on Craigslist a month ago but a week ago we got serious and listed with a realtor, 5 days on the market, 9 showings already 3 more scheduled for today and tomorrow.  It has been crazy. So Jackie and I have been trying to find fun things we can do out of the house.  We have visited several new parks.  She is loving trying to climb anything in sight at any of the parks.
We have made some trips to the zoo as a family, Jacqueline loves the wooden train and the petting zoo. And we have been to the mall playland one then once.  All in all I think she is having a blast with it all because it means we are off doing something new all the time.  I on the other hand am ready for the house to sell and life to settle down again, but that will come in time and I know we have only really been on the market 5 days.  There is also the trouble of when we sell figuring out where we are going.  I am sure somehow it will all fall in to place.

Also just had to include pictures of Jackie from Sunday in her new dress. Oma made it!!  I think Oma could go into business making kids clothes everything she dose is so cute.   (And yes that is a toothbrush in her hand, it has been her favorite thing to chew on while her eye teeth are coming in.)

Smiles for Grandma Carol

Today is Aunt Dottie's Funeral, so I know that Grandma Carol needed a smile, and I think these cute pictures of you at the park will do it.  Aunt Dottie was Grandma Jackie's older sister.  Dottie was an amazing watercolor artist and a real sweetheart.  We will miss her here, but I am sure she and Grandma Jackie are having tea in heaven and catching up on old times.

Sunday with the Family

As a kid I remember occasionally on Sundays heading over to Grandma and Grandpa Faasse's house and the adults talking in the living room while the kids played Simon and Atari, (Grandma always had the best toys.  It makes me wonder what will you remember from Sunday lunch with the family...  Will it be learning to drink from the hose with Grandpa,

Playing on the Computer with Aunt Kate

14 month Photos

We headed over to the library today for the farmers market and to take your 14 month photos.  You liked the farmers market but what you really liked was the stairs at the library.  Stairs have been one of your favorite things lately.  You love to climb and run.  So you were thrilled to have a few moments to climb all over everything and run everywhere you went.  And even with you running around like a wild woman I was able to snap a few really cute photos before you pealed off the sticker.   I am really glad to have the month by month stickers on days like this, then we will always know that it was at 14 months you became an excellent stair climber. So much fun.
I will try to get the rest of the 14 month photos sent to shutterfly today so you should be able to see all of them if you look there.
P.S. For those of you who knew we put a bid in on a house in Zeeland we did not get it.  Sadly we were out bid, but that's ok.  We figure that means God has a different plan and so we will see what comes our way next.

Playing in the sand

So with the house for sale, and people coming through tonight I needed a way to keep you busy all afternoon and out of the house so it would stay clean.

So we went over to Georgetown community park and played on the beach there.  You loved the sand and the water.  But you did not understand the whole keep sand out of your face thing.

Hopefully next time I won't have to keep reminding you not to pour sand over your head.

Grandma's Girl

You love your Grandma's.  It's always hard to leave Oma's house on Wednesdays, you just want to stay and play and it's tough to say goodbye to Grandma.  But sometimes I am reminded how much you are Grandma Jackie's girl too.
You love to be outdoors and play, so did she.  You love playing with any ball.  You love Popsicle, Popcorn, Sprinklers, Water-guns, and Parades and time with family.  I find my self constantly saying 'just like grandma'.  When we were reading this week you pulled the book "Wherever You are my love will find you," By Nancy Tillman, and I found my self in tears  reading these words, "And if someday you're lonely, or someday you're sad, or you strike out at baseball, or think you've been bad... just lift up your face, fell the wind in your hair.  That's me, my sweet baby, my love is right there."  We have read the book many times before, but something about those words this week just got to me.  It made me think about eating licorice at Kate's ballgames sitting next to Grandma, and just how lucky I was to grow up with such great Grandparents on all sides, and how lucky you to have such amazing grandparents.  We are very blessed.
